FAQs

Here's what clients are saying about this service:

  • Working with Kat was the first time I did sound therapy. Her guidance before the session helped me get into the right setting and mind frame. I don’t know exactly how sound therapy works, but I can tell you what I experienced. Kat hit certain notes on the bowls that “unlocked” parts of my body where I was holding tension. I felt my hands unclench, my jaw and throat open up (too much computer time makes my jaw clench), and my feet and toes spread out. This helped me to physically relax so that my mind could relax next.

Deeper into the therapy, it felt like my brain was being cleansed of a lot of the “noise” accumulated from modern life. More importantly, the cleansing and focusing on frequencies helped put into perspective any negative thoughts that were repeatedly bringing me down. I don’t know the exact science, but there were definitely certain frequencies Kat played which targeted areas of my mind and body. The notes felt like bells that awakened different levels of conscious, or simply brought attention to various thoughts.

When our session was done, I was completely relaxed. It felt like I had taken a long warm bath, or gotten a massage. On top of that, my mind was at ease (which I needed). Kat suggested I spend some time in nature after the therapy. I did that. I found that the combination of the therapy and then listening to birds in the park helped dredge up a lot of anxiety and fears that were in my mind and washed them away.

The therapy isn’t a magic pill that fixes everything. It was more like tilling soil, bringing up fresh earth, so that new life could grow. It takes work, and you have to sort through some uncomfortable things. But the end result is a healthier, cleaner brain space.

I look forward to more sessions with Kat. She is very intuitive and musically talented. She also genuinely cares and will make sure you feel attended to and prepared for your session. I found her guidance very assuring. Kat has a real talent and I am glad she is sharing it with others.
